After downloading ContaxCRM you need to double click the downloaded file to extract the ContaxCRM folder. Drag the extracted ContaxCRM folder to an appropriate place on your computer. On Windows this may be the Program Files folder, on Mac OSX this may be the Applications folder. You can even drag the ContaxCRM folder onto an external hard disk or USB pen drive and run it from there should you wish to do so.
After moving the folder into your desired location, open the folder and inside you will find the actual ContaxCRM program. Double click to run the program. As this is the first time you have run the program the first thing you will see is a dialog message concerning the database. This message informs you that the default databases are setup for you.
Just click the OK button to continue. The main ContaxCRM screen will open along with a Nag screen encouraging you to register and receive your serial number.
If you wish to register immediately then click the ‘Purchase’ button. This will take you to the ContaxCRM website from where you can purchase a license. You will receive a license via email within minutes.
If you wish to try ContaxCRM before registering then click the ‘Not Yet’ button to close the Nag screen.
